Well, maybe! I am aware that Babylon Mythology predates any conception of Modern Video Games, but the appearances of SMITE's Tiamat and League of Legend's Aurelion Sol are much more similar than SMITE's Tiamat than Ancient Babylon Tiamat,(based on Ancient depictions of Tiamat). I'd say Aurelion Sol is a mere cohesion of Eastern Dragon design with European/Smaug personality. Also it fits more that Tiamat resembles more of ASOL, as ASOL came out prior to Tiamat and the MOBA Genre tend to share concepts amongst one another, such as LOL's Maokai and DOTA 2's Tree-ant Protector.
However Aurelion Sol is a DIRECT RIP-OFF of Tiamat from the Ancient Babylonian Legends, she was also featured in both Sumerian and Norcadian Cultures (Both preceded Babylonian Culture and Sumeria is the oldest known written culture on Earth) as well. So SMITE is far more authentic by actually basing their character off the actual Babylonian deity.
Does make me wonder if we'll see Bahumet as well?
