What does the 'Deicide' mean?

When the head comes on the screen and it says Deicide, what does it mean?

However you may think it to be a typo as it only refers to killing only a god which only really makes sense in a x vs 1 where 1 = the god or god item in question. So doing it 5 v 5 means the entire team is a symbolic substitute for the god in that side of the war.

As there are sides of the map order, and chaos in smite when a deicide happens it means that that one side has lost all members of it's team at the same time.

Back in the old days this would include the surrender vote to appear automatically when it happened, The dead team would need to "decide" on if they wanted to continue the battle, or offer a surrender without anyone starting a surrender vote.

Going by this logic that means there are really only 2 gods in smite Order and Chaos. and anything else is just a symbolic substitute deity so a lot more characters can be added then just what is thought as is a god by normal standards. So things like King Arthur and Merlin which are not gods but may be chosen by the gods on the sides of the war to act as their representatives may appear on the battleground.

It means to kill a god.
Like Homocide is to kill a person, or Fraticide is to kill a brother or sister (and many more prefixes too for various things).

In the game it means to have the entire enemy team dead at once.
