How to play online with people??

I installed SMITE, played like 20 games of CO-OP vs AI, and now my player level is 6. I wanted to play humans vs humans. So on the title screen, I clicked PLAY, then under the FEATURED tab I choose ARENA NORMAL 5v5. The the game queued me up. There was a count-down timer showing that it was counting the time. The problem was, every 1 or 2 minutes, it will pop-up a "MATCH READY" window, and I clicked "YES" to confirm joining the match, it would then pop up a window:
MATCH STATUS
The system was not able to find a match for you this round. You are the highest priority for the next round.
I clicked OK. And then waited again, and then it repeated for many many times. In short, I just kept on queuing up, and every 1 or 2 minutes it said a game was available, I clicked confirm, the pop up told me the same MATCH STATUS thing, and then repeat a lot of time.
I have tried to queue up for a game this morning, but the same message keeps on appearing for tens of times.

Can somebody tell me what is the problem? Why it keeps on tell me match found, and then tells me the system was not able to find a match for me this round?? What is the problem??

(Note: I tried JOEST NORMAL 3V3 and the same thing happened.)

It might depend on your location too. SEA and Australian regions have a lower player base, so it will be harder to get into a match.

If that's the case, you can either keep trying, or try another server (should be a drop down menu to change it).

I think I am at SouthEast Asia region. How to change server? I cannot find any menu about server connection. Is it on the title screen? Can you tell me the location?

When u start a game you should find a flag, well a little flag on the bottom of screem click on that to change server

Hello there! Your queue times will depend on a lot of things. As the other people said, changing your region to a more populated one may help drastically! Also be aware of the time of day. Queue after midnight may be slow, as would queueing in the day as people work/sleep. I hope you get to enjoy the game fully soon enough, have a great day.

am on level 65+ on bout accounth and i can not let smite now for 6-7day i de-instald id 5-6 thimes don`t now whot to do next any suggestions?

Sometimes it takes abit to find a match.. The high priority is bull as it counts down regardless.

Theres nothing wrong perse with how youre searching though like what Bacodragon said id double check the region

Occacionally ill get a "no match found" myself.. i just wait longer with the auto re-que.

So smite is not starting whit out steam,or i must instal steam to play smite ,dont get the point,if it is free why is so troble to install it,..am not intrested in ranking bout accounts on hirez are for ranked but i enjoy plaing normal arena becouwe of the server balance it is not good on the other modes and the people there are just for runking not to have a gooe thime,i dont get it,smite becomes famus try our backs and thay kick old gammers for some young kids that steal the lap top fron his father ..smc ..why not hirez developers dont make costum platform on there {LINK REMOVED}own,ha? They use steam but thay dont aknoleg it,sorry about my righting ..dont use gramar..lol

First of all, please don't hijack another users thread with a different issue.

Second, you don't need to use the Steam version. There is a non-Steam client that was used before it came to Steam. Unfortunately, the website seems to be down at the moment, and has been for a couple of days. Not sure why it's down, can't find anything on it currently.
