He was fired immediately after Hi-Rez/Titan Forge caught wind of him being involved with an exposed sex ring. The reason why Hi-Rez didn't know about Cheung being sexually interested in minors is because Hi-Rez as a company has no right to invade the personal lives of any of their employees - law enforcement on the other hand have different permissions.

As Vanilla says its not Hi-Rezs business or requirement to know or find these things out, unless they are using the companies network for it of coarse.

Personally dont really bat an eyelid at this, they are a CM... for the most part CM's come and go this one just happened to go for a rather neferious reason.
