SMITE
Is there a reason why smite is triggering my antivirus?
Had this game for a long while. Game updates today and now my antivirus is detecting suspicious activaty.

I am tempted to joke about this but it's most likely detecting anticheat if there is any in place.

An antivirus that confuses game files for virus doesn't sound like good one to me.
My firewalls huristics went ballistic today starting up SMITE, was asking for permissions it should already have had... and hasnt had to ask for on any other updates.

Also just did the new 30 meg update from a few hours ago and it blackscreened my PC for the first time since I started playing in 4 years.

Not to mention a bunch of new firewall permisisons.

So yeah, also WHY would EAC need to access my System file (im assuming it was System32 but the name was cut off in my firewalls popup alert), EAC has no right to go poking around in that file since it sure as hell isnt gonna be hiding any cheats.

you are not alone, the past week my firewall poped up i think about 6 times to grand smite permission while i've been playing since 2016 with no problems. if you don't accept nothing changes, you can still get in game and play after you press x to close the window. plus the game keeps crashing half the time when a match ends which it never did for me before. they must have screwd up something after the last patch.
