Shooting and aiming mechanics?

Smite is my first moba and I can't seem to get hang of the mechanics the highest damage I've done so far is 16k so far can anyone please enlighten me the shooting and aiming mechanics ^^

It's... not difficult. You aim and shoot. The reticle is a bit weird but once you play long enough you can eyeball most shots

I kinda have difficulties landing basic attacks it's like I don't do any damage =( any tips would be greatly appreciated ^^

There are different reticle/targeter options, including lines to help line up shots. Somewhere in options (can't remember which part, but it should be easy enough to find).

Otherwise;
Are you close enough (70 units I think for ranged attacks)?
Are you hitting, or just not doing damage? You aren't clear here.
Are you leading your shots?

Your build is also a crucial point in dealing damage, without and power for example you won’t deal much dmg

Most melee attacks have a range of 12, and a 120 degree cone. Most ranged attacks have a range of 55. Does that help?

I generally play mage so I buy shoe of magi,book of thoth rod of tahuti soul gem are these appropriate?

Unless the mage is called Sol, Chronos or Freya you won't do much damage with auto attacks as a mage. Keep that in mind. The 3 mages I called have access to amplifiying their basic attacks, which they use in order for either burst damage or to gain massive boxing potential.

Nope. Go for magical power, penetration, and cooldown. They do profit the most from that.

In SMITE, you have to anticipate where the player is going to move, especially early game or if your character has low attack speed.

IMO, ranged characters inherently have higher skillcaps due to how easy it can be to bait them into missing. With Hunters in particular, if your aim is off then you are dramatically reducing your damage output.

what melee god should i play the only one i have played is nemesis cuz i got that skin from android game ^^ and what items ?

also one mage that may be built in autos - poseidon but it is a bit derpbuild but works mid-late game if you know what you are doing. for melee if you whant damage output just check assasins, i persanaly do not like warriors that much now as they are more tanklike physicals and really many of them focus on skill damage (as i see them). Some ranged autos may feel weird as they have "slow" travel speed

Sol and Chronos can also be built as dps builds.

Rod of Tahuti is not as good as it used to be, but when it is bought, it should definitely be a last item. Look at the cost of it compared to everythimg else - it is a luxury item.
You want the cheaper items you want to build first, so you can steadily increase in power (instead of having to wait several minutes to get the gold needed whilst not getting any power increase at all).

But, if you play Mage, and aren't doing much with auto/basic attacks, that's because they generally aren't meant to.
Chronos, Sol, Freya are the main ones who do a lot of damage through basic attacks.
Other Mages that can utilise that style (but stil deal damage through abilities mostly);
- Zeus - attacks build charges for his detonate
- Ao Kuang (though you don't want to box, just burst them down with abilities instead)
- Poseidon (gem of isolation affects his 2, so basic attacks slow).

I'd recommend checking some youtube videos and streamers who are playing the gods you are interested in. That wil hopefully give you more of an understanding on what KIND of items you want on them (how much attack speed, movement speed, power, penetration, defence etc).
Once you have a basic idea of what works on them, you can start experimenting with other items here and there, and learn to counterbuild once you are more familiar with the items (which is why the videos and streams are only good for learning what KIND of items work on them).
