I haven't played too much AMC recently, but he usually uses the same build as most other hunters.
Devos-->Ninja-->Exec-->Poison Star-->Wind Demon-->Deathbringer. The build obviously can and should change depending on your team, the enemy team etc...
Relic wise it also really depends on the enemy team, but I find you can never go wrong with a good old puri+aegis combo.
What's Devos, Devourer's Gauntlet? Sorry for the noobish question.
And thanks for answering! I thought of running Beads+ Aegis, seeing that AMC has no CC protection...
Transendence
Ninja/Warrior Tabi
Asi (if you need lifesteal at this point, could come later instead)
Qins Sais
The Crusher
Brawlers (to prevent what healing they have, including potions etc)
Alternatively (crit based)
Devourers Gaunlet (yes, that is Devos)
Ninja/Warrior Tabi
Executioner
Crusher
Crit item
Deathbringer
Not sure if current Malice works well on him or not, but Wind Demon works too.
Magi's is also a decent pick if you really need more CC immunity, up to you what you change out though, probably Brawlers/Crusher.
Relics;
Beads and Aegis. Every time.
If they really have no CC that you need to worry about, Sprint/Frenzy. Frenzy if you like to just blow people up, Sprint if you think you need the mobility more (though the tank might get this).
There are very few instances where this will change though.
Ability order;
Start with 2 every time. Though in Joust, you might be able to get away with your 1 first, and leave the clearing to your mage whilst you poke, or use AAs to clear. But 2 is probably the better option.
I would probably level the 2, then the 3 (the honey can be laid down whilst the 2 is in the air and still spread bees). Joust is a small map, so the Hives aren't as necessary for returning to lane, or the other buffs. You also don't really need it to apply bees.
I'm just curious, why Asi and not Bloodforge? Is it because of cost?
This list helps a lot. Thanks! :)
Attack speed in build 1 would help the Qins, but since it's primarily ability based, Bloodforge works well too (more damage for scaling). Not sure what AMC's scaling is like off the top of my head, but if it's high scaling on his abilities, Bloodforge would likely work better.
It's probably more of a preference thing (for me at least) really. If you prefer using Bloodforge, I don't see any reason not to for that build. Asi is cheaper though, so you could always get Asi, and sell it after you finish your build for Bloodforge.
It also means if you really need the lifesteal and can afford Asi way before Bloodforge (maybe you are falling behind too much), you can just get Asi, and hopefully catch up easier than you would waiting for the 2800 gold for Bloodforge (Asi being ~1700 I think).
Ah. That makes sense.
Thanks again! :)
That's because he fires from 1 arm.It's not bad once you realise and get used to it. But definitely wierd the first few times playing him
Getting any stacking item that late (where you put Devourers).isn't great. You either wonh't have time to stack it, or you'll be stacking inefficiently (your team needs to push fast, or you wait around for fights etc). So I don't agree with that part of your suggested build. Same goes for how early you put Deathbringer. It's the most expensive item Hunters can get, so it should really be last or 5th unless you are REALLY far ahead.
Duke Sloth did a good video on Qins Sais, it's worth checking out if you haven't already done so (Qins has changed a little since then, but still applies to some degree). It kills anything quicker, even lower health gods. I've heard it doesn't go well with Crit, since Qins is more sustainable damage, Crit is burst, so they counteract each other a little (that percentage damage won't matter if you kill them in 3 hits anyway).
Thanks again!
