Why is aphrodite not in duo lane ?
Hello, I am failry new to the game and play adc to get comfy with conquest

However I am interested in picking Aphrodite up but I am scared to do so, her kit seems so good for a duo lane i mean nearly every ability is something that you can buff an ally with so she could be a decent support right ?

But after doing research i figured that she is just a solo mage, I mean thats what most of the people say, apparently she does more bad in duo than good and being new I believe people and don't want jo ruin 4 teamates game if she is really that useless duo.

But why is that so ? And if I go solo should I just make the jungle my soulmate to have empowered ganks ?

Less useful that a Guardian most of the time for duo lane.
A Guardian not only has CC, but can take more damage.
Building Aphro tanky doens't work well as you have reduced healing (also why she's better off in solo/mid - you get to build damage for the scalings).

Putting her in Support role also means she'll get less XP and Gold, which doesn't work well for her either - again, reduced healing from power, and less tankiness from defence items (Guardians ahve better protection and health scaling).

At least, that's what I think the reason is.

Usually.
Guardians tend to make better supports for the reasons I mentioned.

There are cases where a Warrior is better, such as when you have a Magical ADC (Freya, Sol, Chronos for example).

You could in theory make a mage work (I've heard Nox can work well because of her CC). But this is riskier, and works better with parties, rather than solo players.

Emilzy has put out a video on Aphrodite viability as support. But if you do wanna support and you are new, just play guardians man. If you are playing adc mainly, then playing guardians can be boring but trust me nobody CCs and peels better than a guardian(except some more damaging guardians like Cerberus Ares and the like). You need to be a tanky front liner as a support absorb all the incoming damage so that your ADC is safe and thus is free to do damage.

I come from league,

the last question i have is if guardians actually cs minions I have not figured yet if the gold from last hitting minions is shared between close allies yet and since

I am low level I often don't even get a guardian in my duo lane and when I do its not someone playing guardian, moreso a second adc, its a bit chaos so I don't really learn to play the game yet but want to avoid mistakes

Aphrodite is great to keep you alive. From behind. Not so much for initiation or tanking.
Also support doesn't stay in duo lane for long. Aphrodite loses speed boost once she is alone. And can't do much for damage. So rather easy target while wandering the jungle compared to lets say Geb or Athena.

She is also my favorite healer for Assault. But that's it. I don't like to see her in other modes at all.

Last hitting isn't necessary, it does get you a little more, but I haven't seen it as that noticable.
Gold and XP from minions is shared by nearby allies, so splitting a wave can hurt/help you/and ally. Sometimes it is a good idea to, sometimes it isn't. Again, not normally a big deal unless you really need the solo farm.
Saying that, the person who actually killed the minion gets more of the gold/xp.

The only Guardian who can safely last hit minions without hindering their ally, is Ganesha (his passive means he can't technically get kills on anything if allies are close enough). And various items for supports stack by getting assists rather than kills (Gauntlet of Thebes, and Guardian Blessing for example).

Low level, not a big deal, but that isn't ideal that you aren't getting proper support players (even if they play Guardian, support is different).

For a better idea on various parts of the game, check some streamers and youtube videos for the various roles.
Emilzy has been mentioned for support.
DMBrandon is knowledgable of Solo mostly (but knows about builds, so his guides might be useful)
Duke Sloth is great for all sorts of things.

Not sure on others myself, but there is a pinned thread (Twitches and YouTubes 2018) that has a list of channels to check.
