Report a translation problem
I've played her twice, and one of those times was in the MOTD with all Artio.
If HiRez thinks she needs a nerf/buff/whatever, they will do it next patch, unless something is severley broken (by which I mean glitched or bugged out).
I don't know if she seems strong due to it being a new god (and therefore people are not sure how to play against them, or as them), or if she actually needs a nerf.
Funny, because this Wednesday I played against 3 Artios in a row. All 3 lost...horribly. She's all cool and dandy until she meets Ganesha and gets screwed out of her tower diving experience twice in a row. As long as I have the elephant man on my side and my teammates aren't high on Turkish jizz, I don't care about how overpowered some god is, they're all kneeling.
Yeah the cripple is a bit much since it's on her 1 and 3. So a lower duration would help a lot without taking too much away.
Whaaat though. She's a passive spear of magus/executioner for her whole team, I definately wouldn't ignore her passive. Also something people usually forget about her cripple ability is that it also reduces enemy damage, which is why she can chase squishy targets with it and not get punished specially by assassins trying to stop her.
Not sure about the damage issue people seem to complain about her, i find her damage kinda meh, no where near Baccus or Ymir level. The only thing that does pertty nasty dmg is her bear charge at around 350-500 dmg depending on gear... everything else is kinda average. With a polynomicon and a heavy damage build she hits pretty damn nicly but you can do that with ANY guardian geared for damage (heck Ymir with polynomicon and his frostbite passive is 100% damage melee + 75% magic power on his first melee hit after using an ability and with a high damage build tahts around the 900-1k dmg mark or higher!).
But yeah, Artio is strong, like any guardian with a team that backs em up and shes got some nice kit that lets her control fights well... but again any guardian with a team willing to work with them is like that. Guardians are very team on board dependant they either rock or get stomped because their team simply isnt working with them.
But yeah I like Artio and i hope they dont nerf her (her scaling is actually damn low compared to other guardians with what? only 2 of her abilities even scaling and one only scales at 10%), and thats mainly because shes a thic, celtic redhead... and well I like women like that in reallife soooo yeah (even if they did nerf her id play her simply for that reason alone).
Thing is her passive isnt that easy to stack, most ive managed is around 4 (ie 12% protection reduction) and her cripple is damn short range and ranged gods outside of it DONT have their damage reduced so yeah in a 1v1 its great, in a group fight not so much since she's only really locking down a single god or gods that are more than likely going for her, which they shouldnt.
The damage point, it's not the Burst damage that Ymir and Bacchus have, more the damage over a long period of time. She can stay in lane for a while, and just whittle down your health (the clear on her 1 is ridiculous, and the heal is pretty nice on 1 and 3). If she can reduce the effect her mana usage from so many abilities (more mana, mp5 etc), it's easy to underestimate how much damage she is doing.
Saying that, as Artio, you still need to be careful and smart, you can't just wander into an enemy team and expect to live every time. Getting ganked, and CC'd is a big weakness as she has no way of escaping that (particularly if she's crippled) except with beads and Magi's.
In terms of nerfs, I can see the duration of her cripples, or possibly the slow on her 3 being revised.
