Nothing will compare to the glory days of WoW, before the Lich King, for me. PvP servers forced you to adapt and learn how to fight. MMOs are all so watered down with generic, broad-mass appeal that the fun has been sucked right out of them for me. Especially since most games are forced to cater to the more casual players, since they are the majority, typically.
Wish I had some suggestions for you. I stick with SMITE for my PvP needs.
I can't even think of a decent survival game to play that's PvP focused.
There's also an indie game The Exiles (aka Das Tal). In testing now. Interesting concept.
Conan Exiles is coming at the end of January.
Absolver is still in development but it looks really interesting.
Dark and Light is in development. Coming soon.
Don't.
