Can't play Ranked

Recently hit level 30, have over 12 gods at Mastery level 1 or above yet it still says that I must own 12 gods at Mastery level 1? I've tried restarting my game and I don't think uninstalling will help as it's not something in the game files.

Make sure you actually own the gods.

Not rented/free rotation. Pretty sure those don't count.

i have 10 gods that i own that i have mastered then. some of them are mastery level 2 though and i'll try to buy 2 more gods then so that i can do ranked joust/duel. thanks

You are going to handycap your team and yourself if you try doing ranked with 12 owned gods. The ammount of insults you are going to receive from your teammates is nothing I would want to deal with. Have at least 6-7 in each category before you try ranked (incl. top picks), you are 99% of the time not going to get the role you want as ranked doesn't work by calling roles but by pickorder.

Btw, I think they increased the ammount neccessary to 18 this season, you get 9 people who pick before you, then there are 8 bans, meaning that's 17 gods before you eventually can pick your 18th and last available god.

everyone starts somewhere also i'm talking about duels and jousts, i don't really care too much about conquest now

You're not ready for any mode of ranked play. Sorry, not sorry. Even a ranked duel game will be miserable for you as that mode is entirely dependent on having a solid understanding of each god to a basic level of competency.

Watching videos doesn't mean you suddenly know anything, you need first-ahnd experience as well.

It's not just about how good you know the game, you are going to handycap your team in the lobby and half the game is decided there, ranked is all about counterpicking gods and if you don't have enough gods to trade with people and to have good picks for every role even after 8 banns, then you are ensuring your team will have to deal with more then necessary. However there is bronze league for a reason, if you want to end up there go ahead, otherwise get your 40+ gods and then go ranked, that way you won't be stuck in elohel.
