You could mark them, ult, stun with 1. If you aren't saving your 3, you can even jump onto them so they get knocked up and stay in your ultimate longer.
Medusa ult is fine, except for the times where my character is not facing her and still gets stunned (even the statue facecs the other way).
It's a well known fact that Hi-Rez was never good at balancing the gods or the matchmaking.
Medusa's ult has some range to it, that is true, but it is also relatively narrow. And it even has a windup with a rather loud sound to it. Just make a 180° turn and it will deal less damage and won't stun you - which also takes out your point of stunning the whole team. And even if you get stunned, use beads or buy a Magi's Blessing.
And the Hou Yi ult deals a lot of damage. You just need to place it right. If you cast it with the enemie in the middle of it, sure, he will walk out. Place it infront of him so he either has to face your team and probably take more damage or he has to run trough it, getting a lot of damage in the process. Also, Hou Yi deals more damage to the marked target the lower its health gets and therefore easily outdamaging Medusa in a 1v1, he has a stun without windup as well that can even hit around corners - if you know how to aim it.
Medusa is strong, no denying, but so is Hou Yi. And if you struggle against Medusa try playing her so you get to understand how to counter her.
I don't think I've ever responded to one of your posts regarding balance issues.
I was being serious though, Hou Yi can do a lot of damage so either you need to practice him more, or change your build. Alternatively you are relatively new to the game.
Medusa's ultimate can be countered by simply turning around. Getting beads as a backup is also viable. So, have I acknowledged the "issue" now?
With regards to general balance; new gods shoudl be powerful/OP so they are used and HiRez can see what they need to do to balance it out. Recent gods have actually been ok, especially compared to gods from previous years, not massively OP/UP.
Though I do question some choices they make regarding items and god changes.
he's a mod he's supposed to look into peoples issues and smite being unbalanced is just a rant
Let me tell you this game is based around conquest so if you play joust and complain about medusa it wont work I mean I agree with you shes op in joust but she performs fine in conq and medusa is a early game god and hou yi is a late game god
I mean his baisics hurts a lot more late game because of his 2 and u can foucs them down easily with his stun whereas medusa abilities are useless late game except her 1 so hou yi is better late game ( I can tell tell because I play them a lot and struggle less late game )
