Have you tried restarting Steam, then running Steam as Admin (right-click on Steam), and then Verifying the Integrity of the Game Cache Files by right-clicking on Smite in Steam and going to Properties and the Files tab?
I've restarted the patcher countless times, I left it open for hours on end and also restarted steam, to no avail.
Any help to solve this problem is greatly appreciated, I'd love to start playing Smite again!
Try this guide for help with removing everything for a clean reinstall: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=778832820
Other than that, I'm not sure what to tell you. You could try submitting a ticket to Support, but that often takes a long time and doesn't get you very far. In which case my only other advice would be to uninstall everything and wait until the next patch and try again...
