Not on my bingo card, to say the least, but I am curious where this goes.

I love me some Panel de Pon, but the game has always had one clear flaw: good players can just be nearly immortal. I've witnessed horror stories of sets that took hours because neither player would die. Tournament play tries to address this by requiring level 10, but this makes competitive play frustratingly impenetrable to get into. Even I'm at that awkward borderline where I can stall for several minutes on 8 but barely make it 30 seconds on 10, and I honestly just don't enjoy that feeling of struggle o...

As someone who loves Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack/Puzzle League, I'm personally excited to just have a modern port of this game with online multiplayer. That being said, he clearly drew inspiration from Pokemon Puzzle League specifically. What I find interesting is that the HUDs, Fonts, intermissions and even stage portraits have very similar stylizations as PPL. If SBN3 is a diehard fan of the game, then I'll chalk it up to being a love letter for the genre....
