Within the roguelike genre limitations, it does at least seem to have a decent variety in unlockables.

Thanks for the screenshots; loot doesn't seem so bad as feared but on the other hand not so great as hoped for. Will still wait and watch a Let's Play to see if those items are so meaningful to change the direction of a game/playthrough.
Hovering mouse cursor over each provides a descriptive pop-up. So I'll probably have to take some notes or a lot of screenshots to get the information.
