One video made me download this. :)
Yeah, that's a good one. I think a system like 1-1, 1-2, etc. would work, Also having the level number visually on-screen. Or even dividing the selection into a few rows rather than one row.
- Hard mode option, where ink disappears over time.
- Choose ink colours?
- Multiplayer support (screen share) for races or co-operation
- If you do add a level designer, some ehanced features like pressure plates etc could be fun.
- Ghost of your last attempt, or maybe personal best.
- Negative ink projectiles that remove ink where they splash.
- Reverse gravity levels, because we hate ourselves.
- Hats. j/k. Maybe.
As I said, none are essential, the game is already great, but some of these may add to the experience!
Thanks for all your suggestions!
All sounds good, still getting below 20fps at boss fights. Can you also look into the instant double jumping it does from time to time. PS love the game, its a +ve from me, but the issue with jumping can come off as unfair. Don't mind dying due to my own hands.
That is not a feature, but a bug. It is on the list in the "Known Bugs" pinned post. We will fix it as soon as we can.
One thing that really came to mind was a control issue with wall jumping. I was thinking that unless you are pressing right or left INTO the wall, you ought to just fall straight down and do not wall jump away from it. Basically if you want to fall faster, you just stop pressing into the wall without having to press away from it.
When returning to the title screen, how about having the it appear instantly all subsequent times after the first?
Looking forward to seeing updates and thanks for the game.
The design for the wall jump seems intentional to me as that particular quirk is used to speed run in some of the levels where you need to jump between spiked ceilings and floors off of walls since you're allowed to free fall drop like a ninja and jump through the gaps without needing to slow down by tapping to hug the wall.
