Should I buy Sacrifice on Steam?
Don't get me wrong, I like this game, but I am not sure: should I buy it on Steam? I've checked that there are different problems with Sacrifice on modern PCs: freezes, crashes, etc. That's why there is a doubt about the purchase.

You should try out the Demo first. Then buy it, but do it quickly, its only 5$ for the summer.

it seems the steam version has NO MULTIPLAYER and that's a real shame!

well it works pretty fine as long you update your graphic card's drivers, many people cry about it but can't even do it if windows don't tell them -,-

You can get it with multiplayer and without DRM from GOG at http://www.gog.com/game/sacrifice. The GOG version supports Windows 7 and 8 and and has a 30 days money back guarantee[www.gog.com] in case you can't get it to work.

As much as I like Steam, for very old games like this one, I usually prefer the GOG version. They have some excellent support and custom patches if the game needs it.
Also, for this particular game, the GOG version's multiplayer appears to be working.

Sacrifice is a precious gem from the early 2000's.

And is still one of the most innovative games I ever played. I definetly recommend the purchase.

GOG specializes in older games (the ones worth remembering). If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have the Descent series. Best to buy from them.

Thank you very much for show me this 30 day money back guarantee, I have herd of gog alot but never acualy went there. It looks like the best place to buy games that your not sure if it will run or not.

It's still utter nonsense that the GoG version would somehow have a multiplayer mode missing from the Steam one.
The Steam version has all the multiplayer you can get.

I agree.

Its 14 years old so....no. You will propably find a free version somewhere because after 14years games are usually freeware. Shame that GoG is licensing every old game and trying to squeeze cash out of them but thats what greedy people do i guess.

Thats cos all steam downloads of Sacrifice use the same CD key!
