encounters on map wtf?
this game has a ridiculously high encounter rate compaired to fallout 1&2, I had , literally, 15 encounters while moving across 1 square.

The best way to avoid these encounters is having someone with a high Outdoorsman skill. Around 125% should make many random encounters skippable. Also, from what I've personally noticed, the encounter rate seems to spike when you are moving away from named areas. Say you're at the Rock Falls mission -- Brahmin Woods, Freeport, Bunker Alpha, and Rock Falls will all be shown on the map. If you try move too far away from these locations, I've noticed the encounter rate spikes quite a bit.

I was traveling to do the first mission at the second base you unlock. it was absurd I'd kill a horde of scorpions or beastmen and before I could move 3 pixels I'd have another encounter.

Yes, it's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥ tbh. But rising Outdoorsman will help to skip them.

please. isnt there normal solution to solve this random encounters insanity ? its rendering the game almost unplayable. i spend 1 hour on a mission and 20 minutes to get there and back thru 1233 thousands random encounters (they are not so random now lol)
i tried to lower FPS by dxtory, but it didnt work out, setting vertical sync on nvidia panel doesnt work too. is there an other way to lower fps ? (its connected to random encounters rate from what i discovered on web)

It's because of modern computers. You probably have a framerate of 2-3000fps, and due to shoddy coding at the time this also counts towards the rate of some things, like encounters.
Get a program to reduce your framerate to 30'ish (or 60.. doesn't matter) and you'll have a normal rate of encounters.

You can use Dxtory (just google it) for example, if you can't get your default gfx-card software to do it for you.

did u read my comment man ? i particulary wrote that dxtory doesnt work (and that i know that problem is related to fps).
but meantime i found solution. before playing just go to power potions, create new power plan or edit existing, and inside in advanced settings just set `processor power management` -> `maximum processor state` to 20-30%. works like a charm. u can also disable few CPU cores altogether with this tweak

given that you're using a laptop anyway.. on a stationary (master race!! xD ) that's not an option.

Point is, if dxtory doesn't work there's always another option like it.
Those still struggling with this issue, just google for a framerate limiter
