The game will not start, not even the logos. This is the message I get:

"The global shader cache file 'X:SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/ABZU/Engine/GlobalShaderCache-PCD3D_SM4.bin' is missing.

Your aplication is build to load COOKED content. No COOKED content was found; This usually means you did not cook content for this build.
It also may indicate missing cooked data for a shader platform (e.g., OpenGL under Windows): Make sure your platform's packaging settings include this Targeted RHI.

Alternatively build and run the UNCOOKED version instead."

Then another window comes up:

"Unreal Engine has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Please close the program."

My laptop is a Lenovo W700, yes a little old but I run other 3D games without a problem (Borderlands 2, Diablo III, etc). Intel Quad Core 2 Extreme QX9300 2.53 GHz, Quadro 3700M with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of RAM, W7x64...

Any suggestions?

Hey animaitor - unfortunately, the GPU you have (Quadro 3700M) does not support DX11, which we rely on extensively for both its rendering and compute capabilities and is part of our min spec. The error you're getting about needing cooked SM4 content comes from the engine detecting your DX10 GPU and then looking for SM4/DX10 content (DX11 is SM5).

Hope that sheds a little light on the issue!

Well, thanks for translating the "cryptic" message. I wonder why the engine doesn't tell me what you explained in a single line instead. I'll try on my wife's laptop. She has a GTX 860M which supports DX12. Cheers!

Maybe put this in the game requirements : "game requires DX11 compatible GPU's or better"

So this is basically saying, I can never play this game? Will there be any updates so this game can run on DX10? Cause that seems to be the only fix...Otherwise I'll need a refund cause this game will never work on my computer...it sucks because it seems like a lot of people are having this problem...

...aaaand nothing. Game not run. How to wrote the Animator. And it's really sucks :(

My dxdiag says that my GPU supports DirectX11. And there is still error about COOKED content as mentioned in the first post... Seems to me that refund is inevitable action here... Unfortunately...

Could you submit me info about your hardware, specially your GPU brand and model? There's no way for the developers to help people out without such info.

The GTX 860M works ok with Abzu.

i have a Dell Intel Xeon W3520 2.67Ghz RAM 10 Go Windows 7 *64 (ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series with DX 11 installed)
