it won't run at 1440p in fullscreen
It won't run at 1440p at full screen, only 1080p. The settings say native resolution and it's fullscreen but the game clearly doesn't run at 1440p. It only works in windowed mode.

Strange, my native resolution is 2160p (4k) but it runs in 'native' 720p and I can't even change to 1080p which is what I actually want to run it as.

There doesn't seem to be any way to set resolution in-game?

Agreed. I noticed that its in 1080p as well and want to run it in 1440p but it's grayed-out

There is a thread called ultrawide in this discussions. In it you will find the lines you need to change in the ini files for whatever resolution you want to play the game at.

Yeah, I figured it was Unreal4 so a bit of Google-fu and I set

ResolutionSizeX=1920
ResolutionSizeY=1080

In C:\Users\xyzzy\AppData\Local\AbzuGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini

And now I get 1080p - PC Gaming Master Race FTW :)

For some reason now the ini says:

Fullscreen=0

Which is clearly wrong ... but that's what we get for console ports and devs who don't think about people actually having different monitors... ah well at least it works :)

Try putting the setting under the [...] line
ResolutionSizeX=2560
ResolutionSizeY=1660

The devs really really need to allow folks to set their wanted rez...
renfield Aug 2, 2016 @ 1:49pm
Thanks for the answer. You mean like this?

[/script/abzugame.abzugameusersettings]
ResolutionScale=1
Shadows=3
Fish=3
Reflections=3
VSync=0
Fullscreen=0
bUseDesktopResolutionForFullscreen=False
AudioQualityLevel=0
FrameRateLimit=0.000000
ResolutionSizeX=2560
ResolutionSizeY=1600

Try it, doesn't hurt to try, and if it doesn't work you can just delete those lines. Just make sure your monitor actually supports that res though ;)

Or clear the entire file and just leave those two lines. When I tried it the file was blank... so I just added the two.

Thanks mate, i will try tomorrow after a sleep refreshment :)

Same problem here, you have to set it to 1440p by disabling fullscreen in the game menu. Not sure if it's windowed now but it looks fullscreen. But when put to native resolution it says 1080p which is clearly wrong.

It's even more silly than that, because when I selected Fullscreen Off and Display Res 2560x1440, the monitor's OSD still showed 1920x1080 resolution. So whatever internal resolution the game was using, it was still getting downscaled.

But when I restarted and switched back to Fullscreen On, this time the game said that a restart is required to apply the settings, and finally when I restarted for the second time, it was running in 2560x1440 fullscreen.

(I didn't touch Render Res, it's been at 100% all the time.)

I believe it's still not fixed. I renamed AppData\Local\AbzuGame and reinstalled the game. It still starts in 1920x1080. I have the Language setting in the options, that should mean I have the update.

Maybe it's something to do with dual monitor configurations?

Got the same problem. When i turn off Full Screen i can choose 2560x1440 in display res and same setting on render res, after i reboot i still got 1440p but no full screen.
In game ALT+Enter fixed this problem and it still is on 1440p.

BUT, i still do have the feeling that the game is running on 1080p for some reason even when the settings say 1440p.

Well, if it's an external monitor, the monitor's OSD is the ultimate authority. Or take a screenshot and check its resolution later.
