PC or PS4 ?
Hi everybody,
I was wondering if it is better to play on PS4 or on PC for me ? (I have a gaming laptop with a GTX 860M 4 Go VRAM) I ask this because I have both and I want the best rendering and framerate in order to enjoy the game as much as possible !

Thank you in advance :)

I think the ps4 version runs 1080p/60fps, so it maybe better to get the ps4 version.

Ok thank you for your answer ! :) I think I will buy it on PS4 (Like I've done for The Witcher III) Someone can confirm that the game runs at 60 fps on PS4 ?

Ok thanks, I will purchase it on PS4 for its "stabilty" :) I don't take risks.

On a PC you'll get stunnning visuals, I'm playing at 2560x1440 and its beautiful. But on a 65" flatscreen at 1080p Its also going to look great. I played Flower and Journey that way and I have no complaints.

BTW, no "stability" issues here on PC.

It dips on PS4. I can't tell you how much, but its certainly visible. Source: I bought it on PS4. Now the initial 30FPS aren't a problem at all. It runs great and looks gorgeous, but I'm pretty confident that I'll buy this again on Steam during a sale, just to get the 60FPS.

So if it's the best rendering you want, you'd certainly want the PC version. If it's the best framerate you want, you gotta see if your laptop can handle the game GPU/CPU wise. Otherwise, you'd probably be safer with the PS4 version, since it's already set to lower FPS.

Some PC users have reported framerate drops at high draw distances with large schools of fish. I experienced this first hand on two seperate machines, both of which exceed the minimum.

The issue seems to have been addressed with the latest update, however I would just go PS4 for peace of mind.

I have a PS4 as well, however my personal preference is always be PC first, so I just deal with it.

Obviously the PC will have the superior looking and performing version, its just a matter of if your machine can run it at those higher lvls. I have it on good authority that either later today, or early tomorrow, digital foundry will be doing a article on this game. I would check there, they usually give an accurate analysis of the capabilities.

Thank you for your answers, I'm still hesitating ! You say that there is a best rendering on PC but I don't know if my laptop is technically better than the PS4 or if my laptop can run the game with a good rendering, at least, with 30 fps ! ^^

I can try on PC and if the game runs badly I can be reimbursed. I think it is the best choice.

hmm... go with the PS4 version I think. I just checked out your gpu (850m) against the 750 ti (generally considered to provide equivelent or slightly higher perfomance as a ps4) and the 850m has a lower pass mark score, so it's pretty likely you will get a better experience on ps4

It is a 860M but no matter I will purchase it on PC to "test" and if it runs badly i will request a refund. Thank you for your answer ! :)

For those who have the same graphic card (860M) as me and a 2015 gaming laptop, it works perfectly fine in high quality in 1080p and at 30 fps (25 when you turn "fish" in ultra) !

I suggest you to take the PS4 at the moment. The PC version is unplayable for me (770 GTX). The framerate is too unstable. This is not the case of the PS4 version. I finished it. I'm waiting for a solid patch to finish the PC version
