The game's length...
I enjoy games like Flower or Journey, but I don't like how awfully short they are. I didn't buy INSIDE because they ask $20 for a very short game.

I hope this game is longer than 4 hours.

My own two cents, I think $20 is a pretty good price point for an admittedly short game like Journey. Although it's short, it's a game that obviously has so much work and love put into it that $20 seems reasonable. Based solely on the trailers and gameplay footage I've seen of Abzu, I think $20 is spot-on.
It will probably be 8 hours but one should never gauge a game's pricing on length but rather the quality and the unique experience the game offers.

Seriously don't expect the game to be more than 2/3 hours.

The most important question you should ask yourself is if you are willing to pay for an unique experience up to $20 or more. How much is it worth it to you to get entertained nowadays?

I honestly stopped asking myself if an Game is worth whatever the Developer is asking for by looking at the Price Tag but instead ask myself how unique is the Concept behind it and how much would I enjoy playing a Game with the facts I know at the current moment right now.

Some Games turned out totally not being worth it in my eyes and so I still till today never had bought them even they had been on many Sales or I could probably even buy those on some Key Reseller Websites for half of what they are being sold.

Others in return turned out to be a great Gaming Experience and I don`t regret buying those right from the Start even many did slamed the Game for being too short or not being worth it.

Nobody of us here can tell you if you will enjoy playing Abzu since it`s up to you if you dig into the World of Abzu deep enough to get the most out of it to play it long enough to consider those $20 worth it or not.

Do I enjoy playing Abzu, yes I do. Is it unique enough to make it worth the current Price Tag, Yes in my eyes it is indeed but at the same time I too enjoyed Games like Firewatch, Inside, Flower, Journey very much for as long as they last since I don´t judge Games by their Gameplay length but instead of how much they do entertain me.

I seriously doubt that but even so, at least it's not a clone like 90% of indies this year.

Well I basically already said this....

Soma is $29.99 and it's a 6 hour game, yet one of the most unique experiences I've had in gaming for a long while. After that I realized proce shouldn't be based on the game's length or the amount of memory it takes up on your hard drive but the quality of the game itself.

Yeah, just saw your comment now and that it was pretty much very similar to my own One. The thing is when I had entered the thread there was no Comment at all in the thread.

I already did report this issue to the Steam Support and meanwhile saw that others had too similar issue on the Forum in Europe and too had reported those in the last 24. hours.

Sorry for that :(

Ahhh... yeah, sometimes it happens, it's all good.

Great minds think alike ;)

Hope you are enjoying Abzu!

I sometimes have the same thoughts when it comes to short games and their prices, but also lets keep in mind the replay value it may have. Journey may be 3 hours long if you take your time, but damn it has so much details into it that you wont get to see it all in just one playthrough. Hell I've played that game 70 times now (yes I've counted) and I still dont get tired of it. So if its anything like Journey or the other games, I'm more than sure you'll find yourself playing it over and over to see every single thing that was put in the game.

I paid full price for Journey and it was one of the best gaming experiences of my life. In contrast, I'm not enjoying Overwatch at all and I feel like that was a waste of the $40 I paid for it; that game has the potential to be hundreds of hours of gameplay, but I don't keep playing it just for that reason. Game length doesn't determine value.

I never had a chance to play Journey (sadly), but I payed full price $29.99 for Soma - which is a 5 to 6 hour game and it ranks up there with the best. Loved every second of it and I'm very critical about gaming experiences.

¿6 hours?, SOMA takes 10-15.

I spend from 11 to 12 hours.

yeah, SOMA is about 10 or more, no less.

I've seen a YouTube-Video where a guy was already able to play the game and he just swam through and saw 1/4 of the fish that were there and I think you should not buy that game if you just swim to the end of the level...you should discover and explore (like in No Man's Sky)!

Buy it, and if it's not to your liking ask for a refund. There, can we please stop having this discussion?
