VR Support?
Has this game VR-support or are there any plans from the developers?

No chance.

This is a third-person-view game.

Actually there is a program called VorpX that allows you to play games in VR and in 3D, including Abzu. Problem is it's very graphic intensive and you need really good hardware to play it at a good fps

The devs said they wanted to do it, not sure if they could, but hopefully they'll try and succeed.

And so is Lucky's Tale, the Oculus Rift's flagship game.

Yes you can play this game in VR with Vorpx, it has full Geometry 3d support and makes the experience absolutely astonishing.

3rd Person games are awesome in VR, everything doesn't have to be first person to be VR.

Will have to try Vorpx, though will give it a while due to the current price. Bought the Oculus almost purely for Racing sims (and maybe Alien Isolation!) but this is a game that could be glorious in VR

Alien Isolation apparently works with Vorpx as well, I didn't try it but other people on the Vorpx discussion boards raved about the experience.
I would pay for it again for a VR version for sure.

VorpX adds VR really well to this game, there's just a few texture issues but otherwise it's a full on 3d VR experience. Vorpx only costs $40.00

Thanks for that. Gonna get over the novelty of a new Headset and play other things first but Vorpx is beginning to look like it's a must have.

Some game support is better than others, Skyrim for example is AWESOME in VR with Vorpx, I played all the way through Titanfall 2 with VR and Vorpx, I played Battlefield 3 in Vorpx and it was like being there, unfortunately the VR support isn't quite right, and looking down ironsights on a weapon was near impossible as it created a kind of visual double of your sights. There are other games like Depth which would be great in VR but have no Vorpx support whatsoever.

From what I can gather, Elder Scrolls games, Fallout games and Battlefield games are pretty much meant for Vorpx

Thanks again '40oz to Freedom' - useful to know :-)
