Can we add a cheat detection to the game?
I just played against a player that was obviously using cheats and it was frustrating.. He was folding instantly when I had good hand like Ace pairs and he was calling when he knew he was getting full house before we see all 5 cards. I don't think he could change the hand to always win, or he was trying to fool me that he doesn't use cheat, but it was still obvious. :steamfacepalm:

Hope you can implement some cheat detection tool to instantly throw them away when they open cheats. So we can play some decent poker.

This is what keeps you up at night? First off how would they cheat? Do you think they hacked the game so they get an extra feed looking at everyone's cards? Second, why? This is a silly play for fun game, not a cash game. I've been playing this game over a year and sometime you go on bad runs where it seems like every showdown is a bad beat, and then eventually what goes around comes around and you win those hands. That's just the nature of poker. If you are troubled by bad beats on this platform I'd advise you to never, ever go near an actual online cash game. It's an entirely different experience.

I didn't tell this to complain about bad luck or anything. I know how it is on real cash pokers, and I played this game enough to differentiate a good (or lucky) player vs bad player. and if a bad player somehow turns into a poker god after he plays terrible at start, it can't be due to just luck. Even if it was "just luck" what harm would it do to add a cheat detection?

What is "cheat detection"? It's not like Norton or Kaspersky have online poker cheat detection software. Think about what it would take to cheat in the way you suggest. To have knowledge of the other players' cards would require an elaborate hack into the game. I'm sure they are running anti-virus routines to protect against such a thing. Even so, it could probably be done, but I ask again, why? It's a play for fun sight. It's not worth the creator's time, money and effort to go above and beyond standard anti-virus protocols. And who is cheating? I play the standard six player tournaments, I don't cheat, and I cash probably 75 percent of the time and win around 40 percent of my tables. I have found no need to cheat. I win honestly and fairly against the players that are there. I don't don't know what games you are playing, but I haven't even seen a hint of anyone cheating me out of a game. It's a silly, free game. Nobody is "cheating" or hacking the game. It does happen and has happened on pay sites and probably always will where there is money to be made. That ain't this.

I disagree with the suggestion, I had enough of intrusive anti-cheats which degrades my privacy. I advocate for cheat prevention, not cheat detection, if it is even a problem.

These anti-cheat softwares are necessary in any online game. I'm not blaming any of you about using cheats, but that doesn't mean there are no people using it. Also, when I see people complaining about anti-cheat software a lot, I can't help but think about they are up to something illegal.
If any of you came up with a logical answer such as "game should priorities the fps drop or new content to attract larger playerbase", I'd happily participate the conversation but unfortunately that's not the case.

No they are not, there are methods to preventing cheating that don't require anti-cheats, such as having secure code that prevents players from seeing cards or modify data. It's also one of the most privacy-invasive methods to prevent cheating, as the anti-cheats may know about all the processes running on your computer, and have access to sensitive files it may just send to the developers without you knowing. Cheating is not illegal in most countries including the US, so wrong wording there. The reasons you came up with could also be true; anti-cheats may be a liability to performance, and could potentially add to the cost the developers need to spend and take away funds for new content. Show me the evidence that people are cheating, if you can't then why make the claim "but that doesn't mean there are no people using it". As far as I know, you could just be salty opponents got lucky.
I continue to find it amusing when people ask why people chat. People cheat because they can. It doesn't matter if the game is silly or not. Some people want an advantage over someone else regardless of the form of that advantage. Its really that simple.

There is a glitch i had once that showed my hand and the table cards before any cards were dealt. I don't know what caused it apart from i was in the shop menu to start with, i was unable to see anyone else's card though

I've been playing here for years (level 515) and never saw anything that looked like cheating. Maybe a time or two when people might have been colluding over discording or something. But I have seen glitches. One time I folded my cards pre-flop and when cards were shown at the end of the hand, someone had my exact same cards. Too long ago to remember the exact cards, but it would have been like we both had 9 of hearts and 4 of clubs.

same happened to me once a few months ago... played like that for about an hour, quit, came back right away and then all was normal. got to see how the RNG works... often the river and/or the turn card changed from what was already shown ( all 5 cards ) at the turn or on the river.

wondered if it was because that card I was shown earlier but has now changed mid hand was already in someones hand or if it was for another reason. like big hand wins or chip redistribution to make ranked games more exciting or competitive being coded in the rng as well...

only happened that once... within a little over 500 hours of play... more like 250 hours for all the time spent waiting for others for ranked games.

good luck at the tables...

I also wondered if it was someone using a cheat that affected all players at the table... but since i have only seen it happen that once... I strongly lean towards the opinion that it was a very rare glitch...

They probably aren't cheating, they're just watching the faces of characters and learning their tells.

you are just telling bulls. No one can see your cards on the table until the round ends. Even the cards flip over, it's blank.

People complaining that anti cheats are too intrusive are the same ones that don't understand how the anti cheats work in the first place and think that they get access to their entire computer... lol... be nice when the average populace actually understands how they work one of these days so we can start having real anti cheats like korea.

I dont think people are cheating but I do think people are multi accounting I just played against a guy that was flopping every card and the speed at which he was checking along with another person at the same time almost. Multi accounts are easier to do more than cheating using hacks. Most of the people saying the game is cheating are honestly just bad players like how much are you going all in and why!? Cause you feel lucky? You took that chance no one else. Pocket Ace's don't promise anything. I got pocket A's before as well and it lined up to a three of a kind but some one beat me with a flush and again a full house. It happens just take it as a learning moment dont go all in preflop just cause you have pocket aces. Also watch if people are going all in some times it means they got good cards most of the time in high stakes. low stakes its just noobs. The more the player the more likely you will fail. Just got into poker playing this and im near 400k chips from winnings alone. That proof that most of these rooms don't have cheaters, well at least to me.
