Fallout 1, 2, 3, or New Vegas?

What is your favorite Fallout game. My personal favorite is Fallout 3 but all of them are amazing games.

1 2 are not good 3 & NV are very good.

i disagree, my favourite is fallout 2. the graphics arent crysis 3 but what can you expect from a game that came out in 1998. what does make it good though is everything you can do and all the small things that can change your game. just something like your intelligence can change how you are in the game. this is something the new games dont really have.

Moving on, I like them all. Fallout 2 is my favorite, but the others are all equal. Except- Fallout: Brotherhood of (♥♥♥♥) Steel. It was so bad, it would have been less bad if it were advertised by Justin (Edited) Bieber.

I strongly disliked NV, found 1 good but flawed, 2 excellent but buggy, 3 good with strong mod support that in the end makes it more exciting, fun, and fleshed out then the finished NV, which felt like fallout 3 with a worse world map, and a lot of half done copies of mods.

have not finished FO2 yet, having issue starting it up but Fallout blew fallout 3 and NV away for me. fallout 3/NV as RPG are just not good still fun but they made bad RPGs. Fallout as an RPG goes on my top 5 RPG with Morrowind, FF8, DIablo, and (not a lot of peoples Favorite) Two Worlds.

Fallout 1 + 2 are simply refined childhood for me. these hot summer nights staying up late during the holidays, nerding through one of my very first strategic games. The atmosphere of Fallout 2 vexes me still. despite the bugs you can simply feel the love the devs put into the game. F2 offers me replay value for about 15 years now, true late 90s gold.

I think its just about what time you grew up in. I personally liked fallout 3 the best just because it is easier to play; its what im used to. I played the first fallout and found myself not wanting to play it just because it was turn based, slow paced, and ugly compared to 3. Though i have to say, fallout 1 and 2 have a much better atmophere than 3. New vegas sucked to me because i expected much more having played 3 first. My brother played new vegas first and he likes new vegas more than 3.

I have never in my days come across anyone who said that Fallout 2 wasn't any good. Until now. I'm completely dumbfounded at the moment.

I'm torn between 1 & 2. I have played those two games an insane amount of hours.
Didnt like the story-telling (...the lack of quality of it) in the third one (or Vegas for that matter) or the fact that they went totally off the map, with the genre they headed towards with the 2 new additions.

Just got myself the collection (1,2 + brotherhood of steel) after watching TotalBiscuit mention it in his latest Sales Box video. Didnt notice that they were so cheap + my old discs have disappeared over the last few years :D

Might just give them a run through, starting tomorrow :D

I liked Tactics for what it is, but compared to one and two it felt out of place with the rest of the series. Probably because of all those weapons like the AK47, M16, uzi, ect mixed with a few classic weapons. I loved Fallout 1. Fallout 2 was alright, but it lacked that post apocalyptic feel. However if I recall 2 is post-post apcalyptic.

Fallout 1 and 2 are two of the best cRPGs you'll play. Fallout 3 is a mediocre hiking simulator if you turn your brain off. New Vegas is pretty quality.

1 and 2 are fantastic.
3 is just Oblivion with guns, with lots of forced dungeon trawling to navigate the invisible walls, a pointless VATS system, and "ooo shiny graphics", its style over substance, though it does rip off the story of 2 in a very obvious way to anyone who's played 2 and 3.
