Fantastic idea. Go buy Fallout 2 on GOG for $9.99 instead of...stick with me on this one...Buying all 3 originals for $4.99 on Steam. Brilliant!
There's always at least one ...

This one's logic is astonishingly bad.

Steam versions of Fallout 1/2/Tactics are DRM-free as well.

How do you figure?
Let's not forget that the GoG version is completely optimized to run on later systems. There is no need to download third-party mods or do any file-tweaking to get the game running. Double click on the icon and it runs just as it did ten years ago. The GoG version also comes with the original soundtrack, the full manual in pdf form and the Fallout Bible which is a neat little 200 page document written by one of the developers that has all sorts of interesting facts and stories related to the Fallout games; It's something that games today would never even think about doing and a good read. Is it worth buying Fallout 2 on GoG for the extra 5 bucks? Arguably, but any other time definitely yes. For now the original 3 games for $5 is quite a steal. :Tie:
For me it is more important that the GoG versions of Fallout and Fallout 2 have Mac versions. I wonder what's the problem to add the Mac versions of games on Steam as well, since they are available already somewhere.

The game is not "optimized" to run on newer sysytems. A simple look at their forums would tell you that. It would also be illegal to do under the terms of the Bethesda buyout.

The steam version contains the manual as well.

The Fallout Bible was written by one of the developers with the help of people from NMA... where it has been posted and available for free for at least the last 9 years. http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php?action=category&cat_id=37

The soundtrack has been available for free for the last 3 years.

I have the gog version and they aren't optimized at all.

Fallout 1 crashed at the glow, Fallout 2 crashed when entering V13.

Now maybe you didn't actually play either game in 97 or 98, but guess what? They didn't crash on either of these things.

They did crash when planting live explosives on people, but that's another story.

The gog version is also based on the UK version of the game, which means they are censored.

So this is what happens when you try contributing to Steam discussions. Sorry for my ignorance I'll be on my way.

No...This is what happens when you post inaccurate information on a public forum. People will politely correct you and educate you as to why you are wrong. If critisism is something you can't handle it would be best to stay off the forums.

Interesting response when all that happened was that people corrected your wrong assumptions.
I would like to know why we can't have mac support
