help! Sulik bugged out and vanished

on latest RPU

I'm currently at Mariposa Military base level 2/3, and i noticed some of my companions started bugging away once i indulged myself in some "hotkey G for auto loot stuff everybody!":

• Marcus was suddely kicked out of party ==> joined him again.
  
• Sulik (all in PA and ♥♥♥♥) was acting like his entire plot had been resetted back to Klamath
  
• all other companions (Goris, Cassidy) were ok

I thought i had fixed him by talking to him, but once i changed floor he just vanished into thin air

What are my options? trying to edit him back into the save (i've got foExplorer.exe running right now, BUT i have no idea how to do it)

Or may i try to run back to Klamath and find him there?

Or... do i have to accept the fate my strongest buddy has vanished from my forsaken game?

Long story short:

• foExplorer.exe showed me he wasn't anymore in party, but still showed up as maxed out
  
• going to Klamath didn't help
  
• had to spawn him at 6/6 upgrades, from point 1, but he had nothing but his starting gear
  
• i save-edited myself to get from memory what he had before, and plant those objects on him
