Fallout 2

Fallout 2

A problem with navigating the world map
When leaving a location, such as Arroyo, to the world map, the cursor freezes and slows down, and after a while, nothing works, and the screen completely freezes. I'm playing on a new PC—could the issue be that the hardware is too fast? Any solutions?

No:steamsad:. I searched the internet, but I didn't find anything. even installing the latest fixed build will not fix the problem.

I want to try using an emulator for 16-bit applications, but this has its own difficulties. If you can run it through it, I'll tell you if it helped or not.

he is here to share an article with a solution to the problem, I recommend reading it and my posts, because the article partially helped me.

In my case, modifying the WorldMapFPSPatch line in the ddraw.ini file from 1 to 0 helps.

Same problem, Tried this article, but it didn't helped.
I finally got it to work for anyone who's problem wasn't fixed by the earlier solution. After using the previous solution, I still had issues until I went into C:\Users\"Username"\AppData\Roaming\Fallout2\bunch of numbers. Went into the f2_res.ini again and changed ALT_MOUSE_INPUT under [INPUT] value to 1. Hope this helps I'm not very good at explaining things. :cf_pakumen:

Mine was in a slightly different location C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 2\f2_res, but the solution was the same and now works. Thanks
