Freeze Issues during Combat

Anyone else have this problem?

If I enter a fight with a larger number of NPC's (like 4+) the game Freezes temporarily. The after a few seconds the NPC's will have acted like normal. I am running the game in Windowed mode with the x2 scaling and the game runs under Windows 7 32bit.

I'll go out on a limb and say that this'd be because the game needs to load the AI, so it can decide where to go or what to do next... probably normal.

no, I have the Hardcopy version here but I had troubles running it under Windows 7, also the version is the German censored version (This version is 100% uncut so it's nice) And there. It doesn't freeze at all

I just figured it out. The Issue Occurs when starting the game in Windowed mode. If you Fullscreen the game runs just fine and smooth.

Go to your "\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 2"
run "f2_res_Config.exe", click "Manually
Edit Config", set "EXTRA_WIN_MSG_CHECKS" to 1.
