as a gradutaion present my parents got me this dell laptop, i dont know much about what it takes to run certain games on computers so could someone help me out? my laptop has 8gb ram, i have a nvidia 920m graphics that came with the laptop, core i7 and windows 10 installed. from what i read ive gotten mixed awnsers so could someone really help me out and tell me if buying fallout 4 for my laptop will be a waste of money. i have played ESO on this laptop and it ran great but notsure how much of a step up fallout 4 will be. also is there anyway i can buy upgrades so that i can run the game? other wise im looking at buying a ps4

Off the bat, Laptops are almost impossible to upgrade anything inside unless you buy certain brands/make one yourself/etc. Knowing its a dell, you won't have that option to really upgrade anything in it because I am pretty sure the graphics card is built on the motherboard. You might be able to upgrade RAM or the hard drive.

Here is Fallout 4's requirements:

Minimum

Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
8 GB RAM
30 GB free HDD space
NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Recommended

Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
8 GB RAM
30 GB free HDD space
NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent

The only thing that should worry you would be the graphics card, because its not as powerful as a desktop card would be.

Bottom line, you probably will be able to run it, but you are most likely not going to get it to run very well on high graphic levels. If you want the best out of the visuals, a ps4, a desktop, or a steam box might be something to look into.

are these the specs that just came out? i ran eso and dragon age inqusition on regular graphics and both ran fine but when i googled it they said i barley meet the minimum recs. is this due to my graphics chip? and will i be able to run it on med ? wha happens if i run it on high graphics or regular?

yeah on low graphics which wasnt to bad. it would crash a lot to sometimes 10 minutes in or 2 hours so that got annoying
