Problems with the ncr rangers slave quest! plz halp!

I ended up doing this quest for the ncr rangers where you need to free some slaves outside the city. Killing the slavers was ez, but the problem came when i tried to open up the cages. I have 100 science skill and 77 repair skill. I tried interacting with the terminals but nothing seems to work, it keeps saying ¨invalid code something¨. i have lockpick 18 and tried to open the cages too. Got any tips about this?

Keep trying the Science skill on the terminals, it'll eventually make successful rolls.
