NCR Ranger Glitch/Bug

Hi!

I met Elise and didnt join the rangers, so I didnt get a quest & left. Did Tandi's quest and came back to NCR. When I spoke to Elise a second time I could join the rangers and get xp for completing "Free the slaves in the slave pen, for the Rangers". The thing is I never accepted or completed the quest, it doesnt even showup on status until after I join the Rangers and then it shows on status as completed. And she never mentions anything about the quest so I cant even accept it when I went back to a older save.

To Summarize.
I get the XP for completing a quest i didn't even accept & get a ranger pin. And the cages are still full of slaves. Has anyone encountered this bug?

It's just work, is phrase that embody FO 2 as a ¨¨experience¨¨. Just take the XP and don't ask question, safer that way.
