nah, many endgame foes just use plasma weapons, and there's nothing you can do to resist them except for going APA mk2

Weirdly enough, 40k isnt too hard to get with how much loot prices can be.
Just barter some cash with a wealthy merchant and you are good to go
(And I am not taking into account that money reward on some quests)

It does let you be harder to kill in general

Wearing a tesla Armor or APA while having all the resistances to the possible maximum is pretty satisfying on some situations.

Main issue is that less charisma from the second version of each perk on Fallout 2 is a bit annoying since it means less companions.

Tesla armor exist for those situations.
Already decimated navarro that way with a character.

And APA mk2 is only in the oil rig filled with gauss rilfe soldiers so thats out of the question.

I forgot Tesla armour was a thing (i never really cared about it). I just wonder if maxing out plasma resistance at 90% with the dermal armor 2 (CHA penalty) is really worth it.

The greatest danger in the game is having ♥♥♥♥ luck; it only takes 1-2 bad armor-negating crits to end your journey no matter what, and trading countless shots is just asking for trouble with them.

Gambling skill proving its superiority once again.

You will likely have tens of thousands of coins by the time you are at this point, so there is no reason not to get them. You will get very rich just from looting guns from enemies, so no reason to spend the cash for some nice boosts.
They aren't massively important, but not irrelevant either.

One of them gives a 5 and 10% reduction to plasma, so not really sure what you’re saying lol

Buy the energy resist ones, the cheaper alternative to the physical resist ones is psycho which will boost your physical resistance by 50% to the max of 90% combined with your armor resistance.

Of course if you just kill anyone using energy weapons first then you don't even need to worry about your energy resist stat.

40k is nothing and easily acquired if you know what you're doing.

And of course it's worth it. More defenses is always better.
The enhanced ones reduce Charisma by 1. So if you're playing with party members, don't get the enhancements. You can still get the normal ones.

Of course, if you're playing solo without party companions, feel free to take the enhanced implants.

One last thing, make sure you can afford the Charisma penalty. One time, I started with 1 Charisma, took both enhancements after getting the Charisma module installed and wore the Mirrored Shades, yet getting irradiated killed me. So you can only take one if you start with 1 Charisma and then install the Charisma module. You'd need the Gifted Trait or the Gain Charisma perk if you want to take both enhanced implants.
