Oh and I'm new to Fallout 2

Oh wait... On the title screen, it says RP 2.3.3

Does that mean it's active?

Uhm... yes, that indicates you're playing the Restoration Project. There should also be a rock next to Klint saying "Welcome to the Restoration Project!"

Also, in the character creation screen you have multiple options for character look..(long hair, bald, and default) that wasnt present in vanilla.

I recommend that everyone avoid the so-called Restoration Project. Even if you get it to function all it does is make the original game even more difficult and tedious. When it stops being fun, it sucks.

How does it make the game more difficult? Do you mean random encounters or side quests or main quest?

In Fallout 1, I was pretty confident I could take on any situation that I ran across. I could shoot my way through anything. This game, I play way more cautiously. I recommend picking up Sulik. He is so OP.

You should be good with that and a strong melee companion.

Sulik is literally my ONLY living companion...granted the rest that I've gotten have died due to RNG but hey.
