Game not working in win11

So i got a new PC with win 11 and of course it does not work.

The Erorr is:

Fallout appears to be running in compatibility mode.
Pleas check the compatibility tab of Fallout2.exe, and ensure that the following settings are unchecked.
Run this program in compatibility mod for... run in 256 colour, and run in 640x480 resolution. If these option are disabled, click the " change settings for all users" button and see if that enables them.

And i did that and still i get the same error.
I am on the line with bethesda games suport and after 2weeks there is still no solution.

Any 1 got a solution for it?

with the help of the bethesta suport team i did the folowing:

- i installed the Restoration project. Doesnt work.
-I checkt the compatibillity mod run win xp. does not work.
-tried to run it on a new win account. doesnt work.
-I put the whole folder to the Norton exclusion list. doesnt work
-I in f2_res_Config.exe i manually edit the under (Input) ALT_MOUSE_INPUT to 1. doesnt work.
-in the win settings under System / display / graphics settings i set the Fallout2.exe for High Performance. Doesnt work.

Now as far as i know Fallout 1 an 2 are based on the same engine. So i tried to instal fallout 1 to see if it works, annnnd it doesnt.
Did the whole troubleshoot for F2 on F1, and it doesnt work.

so now i have 2 games that doesnt work, and a question if it is because of win11 that the games dont work.

I am on windows 11, Both games work for me, its not windows 11, what is the exact error code, are you running fallout 2 HR?

the thing is the erorr is the same if the 2 boxes are checked or unchecked.

I tried a pirated copy and the steam copy of the games with the restoration project and without. I still get the error.

I even treid all the compatibility mods and i get the same erorr. only for the win95, win 98/me i get the error: Failure initializing input divice.

Switch back to the win95, win98/me to where you are getting the failure to initialize input device, open the config exe, check windowed mode, set resolution to 1024x728, then Done, reopen the exe, and then hit Manually Edit Config, after doing this set “WINDOWED_FULLSCREEN=0” to 1, then hit File, and Save.

After doing this try launching the game , if you get another error, try launching FalloutHR, and if that doesn’t work switch FalloutHR to the windows98/me.

This should all work on any of the RP, or just the Vanilla game for Windows 11, if you have any more issues feel free to message me on this thread or on Steam and I’ll walk you through it.

These games can take a bit to get working, for some people it works fine on its own, and with the patches, but depending on drivers it seems to be different for others. These games are over 25 years old now, and you have the depend on the community to keep it going ( Bethesda doesn’t have much interest, besides making a quick buck on what can be an IKEA project to truly get working and to enjoy )

Fixed mine and have access to upscaled high res versions of fallout 2. HOWEVER you either need to uninstall all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that's pre-packaged with fallout 2's Steam release (specifically sfall and mash's high res patch) or download an original FO2 install ISO and install it (This is what I did and as of right now the Anternet Irchive has all of Interplay's fallout entries ripped and uploaded.). Also I can't confirm that sfall is working and not just the high res patch. But atl I can play the game now. I'll post a full guide soon but for now, Install:

Also I'm lazy so i won't show you how but you need to configure the ddraw.ini file to fit your resolution, as well as use the config tool included with the first file. If you can't figure that out I'm sorry but I'm not gonna explain all that through text.
