In fact you could argue that fallout 1, 3 and 4 you're more of a chosen one, because those protagonists are pure blooded humans who haven't been mutated by fev, so they have unique abilities (like if they get turned into super mutants they stay smart and keep their memories, their blood is also extremely valuable for fev cures and any genetic engineering). In fallout 2 and new Vegas, you're a mutated human like everyone else in the wasteland who would die from the fev cure that the enclave made in fallout 2 and 3.
Thats only an honorific title, nothing more, and it leads to funny interaction especially if you first present yourself as the Chosen One, dudes in the wasteland will look at you funny, make fun of you or even be irritated by you.
Well by normal I mainly meant by the duties the character is carrying out.
FNV the courier is, well a courier looking for a chip.
Fallout 4 you are just a normal vault dweller who woke up.
Fallout 3 I think is the same thing.
But if you're refering to radiation doses then yes, you are correct.
What I mainly meant by 'normal' is nobody really 'knows' you. You are just the average day person. I feel that mostly in Fo3 and Fo4.
Maybe its time you actually go farther than Arroyo before making presumptions lol
He was too evil however so he got exiled and you're the new chosen one.
If they selected me as a "chosen one" then they must be mentally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up or truly an idiot.
No they are actually desperate, the village is dying, they deemed you the best out of their bunch to do the Temple of Trial. Everything is explained in the intro cutscene.
- Just kick the ants (even with 1 Strength you can kill them in two sucessful hit), unless you tag Melee or Unarmed, dont bother fighting the scorpions, the loot in chess and skeletons scartered around arent worth it, you can fight them however and sell all the stuff you found in the next town but you'll do alright if you dont do it anyway.
- Press 2 or use skilldex to lockpick the second door.
- In the jar you will find explosives to blow up the wall
- You will met Cameron at the very end of your trials, to overcome this obstacle you can : fight him, convince him that fighting isnt the solution with Speech tagged, steal the door key from him (if he caughts you can reload an earlier save, if you forgot to save do not attack him and simply go back in the earlier area, he will stop aggro you and you can steal him again).
Oh well them being desperate actually makes sense. Kind-of sad they do not give the 'chosen one' some bodyguards or something.
Thanks for the help of how to get past the start. I have had this game in library for awhile with no clue of how to play it.
Fallout 4 is decent, atleast it is better than 76.
I find Fallout 3 funny as hell, does not mean it is good though.
I really enjoyed Fallout Tactics.
But you are right about one thing. I am absolutely terrible at playing Fallout 1 and 2. Does not mean I hate or "crap" on older titled games.
