is an armor class build an interesting thing ?

Eh...It's not really something to actually strive for, probably a waste of a couple of perks. Weather you rush to navarro or not and grab the Advanced Power armor, eventually everybody in the entire game will be wearing that and the AC on that is massive. Coupled with a perk or 2 in Ac there is really zero reason to hae more than that you will already have so much that you will feel unstoppable. The remainder of stats should be to increase damage output.

AC is fairly worthless against actually dangerous enemies (press gangers, deathclaws, floaters, super mutants, and etc.)

But you can totally do it. You need to work in the unarmed special perk that gives fat AC bonuses if you have both hand slots 'empty.'

Actually there is no "useful" perks and stats in F2 (except stat check in a few times in the game). Save\load ur way to the end. Thnigs u choose through the leveling just reduce quantity of save\loads. Thats it, u can play any build u want.

you need skills to beat enemies
without the slayer skill , the unarmed build isnt really that great

Recently i played a char with HtH evade and ~ 300 unarmed. Super high AC helped quite a lot against melee monsters, but not so much against ranged. Enclave, supermutants and the like never seemed to miss much, no matter what my AC was.
