Clumsy mouse control
I just started this game after long time and I noticed how clumsy mouse cursor is.Is there any fix to make it more smoother and sharper.
I also downloaded killap's unoffical fallout 2 patch but my anti-virus blocked it.So I'm not sure is it safe to install.
I have read many bug fixes and almost all of them recommends killap's patch.
Anyway,if you can tell me any fixes to make this game running for best experience I'm grateful.
Graphics is not important, only smooth gameplay.

Neither Avast nor Malwarebytes (both up-to-date) find any trojan in it on my system. If you're running Avast, note that that AV app is prone to false positives.

Thanks for answer.I use Avira and I thought it might be false positive. So many are recommended killap's patch so it's pretty sure false.

Killap's patch is deffinately safe, but I'd reccomend his restoration project instead. The patch just fixes bugs but the RP also restores cut content which includes a bunch of new quests, and more ways of completing old ones. theres really no downside to using it.

can you describe the mouse issue in more detail? is it just slow? does panning the camera feel slow/jittery?

My english is not very good but I try to explain mouse issue. When I pointing mouse like moving or watching some objects etc. mouse feels like it doesnt find right place. Many times when I click some object cursor just jumps to next tile. And some times corsor feels like its jamming some tiles.I have seen this issue for many old games.Usually its because they are optimized only numbad, not mouse.

What comes RP,I might install it too but does it need unnoffical patch anyway?

The restoration project already includes everything in the unofficial patch, plus more. It should be installed over a brand new clean installation of fallout 2.

do you have another mouse you could use to verify that the problem isnt your mouse hardware?

you could also try playing in windowed mode.

also try this: go to fallout2.exe, , right click, select properties, compatibility, check off "disable display scaling on high dpi settings"
