Stuck on Navarro mission;;

Hi. I am having a blast while playing the game, until I reached this particular problem.

I was excited to receive the Navarro mission, excited to meet the famous Arch Dornan, being able to meet the Enclave for the first time.

But the problem is, if I try to pose as the newbie(as instructed by the BoS official), MY character recognizes the old man in front of the auto repair shop(because I went through there right after Hakunin died) and accuses him of lying the last time they've met. It's as if he forgot to pose as a newbie or something.

I managed to kill almost all the personnels in Navarro base using tons of stims and (to my embarrassment) that trick which involves getting on and off the elevator, but I felt like this isn't the way that the creators intended for me to play.

My question is, is it always like this if you are visiting the place the second time? Or is it because I didn't pass the speech or CHR or INT check? Is there an alternative way to solve this quest?

If you pass the speech check you can walk right in but you have to discover a alternative route out cause after you have the plans they won’t just let you walk out the front gate

Even if you kill the dude at the gas station, they shouldn’t attack you.

get rid of all companions because they make you get attacked, if that doesn’t work, download the save editor, select your save, go to GVARs and search:

GVAR_Navarro_Base_Alert

And set it to zero; sometimes the alarm goes off when it shouldn’t

Just kill Chris at gas station and check shack behind him. There is a hidden tunnel to Navarro.
