Can't get Citizenship after reactor quest. Help?
I've just finished the Gecko reactor quest, but I still can't receive Vault City citizenship. I've talked to the First Citizen, and it sounds like I've obtained it, but I can't enter the Vault because I'm "not a citizen". Do I have to rest? Is it because my luck is too low? Am I talking to the wrong person? I have no idea what's causing this problem

I had the same problem, i just ended up giving up on the quest, I think they give you access to take the test, and not automatically pass it

Yeah, I decided to just move on down to Broken Hills and New Reno.

Did you do the Gecko quest by disabling the plant or by fixing it? If you fixed it then talk to McClure, he is on the opposite side of the building where First Citizen is. If i remember correctly he is the one that gives you the citizenship for fixing it.

Yes, I fixed it. Will give that a try whenever I revisit Vault City.

Alright, so, I did pop by back to Vault City while getting other stuff done. There, I talked to McClure, and I saw no dialogue option for him to give me citizenship. Maybe I had to talk to him before the first citizen? Either way, too late now. Don't have any saves that go back that far. Not the biggest problem in the world, as Vault City citizenship just gets me access to new quests and the potential to get Cassidy as a companion.

The best way to do this is to visit McLure and tell him they need a part and he will give it to you. Afterwards I talked to him about the citizenship and I thought it bugged so I reloaded a save. Whatever you do, dont tell the First Citizen you fixed it.Only tell her "its been taken care of".

Another way to get citizenship is to pass a stats check. They dont like you taking drugs into the area but if you use them to buff your stats up you can pass the check that way.

Might give that a try. I also just got to San Fran and can use ACE to increase some of my stats

As [bYa]Fox says, you can attempt to pass the test but you need to have 9 Perception, 9 Intelligence, and 9 Luck.

You really don't need citizenship for anything, Cassady doesn't require it you just need to convince him to leave his bar. You can VATs cheat your way into the vault whenever you need something in there. Just enter combat walk into the vault entrance zone and you'll be teleported straight into the Vault.

And it is still beloved today and the sequels became huge. More companies die than thrive and this isn't uncommon.

Yet you have a dead state Avatar, a game that was not only heavily inspired by fallout 2, but is also a complete buggy mess of a game.

A man of culture, no DS was inspired by FO 1(witch is a good game, not like FO 2).
That why it have good writing and a solid foundation lore wise and story wise. As for the bug , yes DS have bug but they were inspired by FO 1 a buggy game meaning they just.... did it.
