Fast Shot + Melee
Why does every guide on the internet say Fast Shot removes the ability to do Aimed Shots with melee attacks when it's clearly not the case? I always play with Fast Shot and it only removes the Aimed Shots for guns.

I dunno, why did RadioShack need your phone number when you bought some batteries?

Some things simply don't have an explanation.

Because that actually happened in the original Fallout 1; Fast Shot trait reduces the AP cost of ALL weapons, but as a drawback, you cannot use an aimed attack at all.

This was fixed in Fallout 2, and later got resurrected in Fallout Tactics but in worse shape. In Tactics, characters with Fast Shot cannot use an aimed attack while his AP cost for melee/unarmored attack stays the same.

Fast shot is for guns only, it doesn't affect melee or unarmed any. It reduces thrown or guns by 1 ap, and doesn't allow aimed attacks.

It worked different in fallout 1, where it worked on ALL weapons. -1 aps to use, but no aimed attacks. It didn't work on bare hands, since they weren't considered "weapons", but it did work on unarmed weapons like knuckles, power fists, etc.
