What does nuka cola and squirrel on a stick actually do?

I've played both Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 for well over 300 hours each and nuka cola and squirrel on a stick never do anything? Are they supposed to heal you like mutfruit does?

I read somewhere that they are supposed to heal, but I've never seen them heal. Only mufruit heals (outside of stimpacks and super stims).

Iguana on a stick should heal you for 4 to 7 HP. Nuka Cola doesn't do anything, but you can get addicted to it.

Nuka cola is an ingredient for a super stimpak, combined with stimpak and fruit. Myron can make one.

If you have RP installed, Mr.Cammie(sic) can make one as well.

Ah okay, yeah I forgot about that. Haven't had Myron as a companion for awhile. The little ♥♥♥♥ is just so insufferable.

Iguana should heal, though I've never seen it give health, either way the health is negligible, it's basically junk. Nuka does what has already been mentioned above, pointless consumable or super stimpak ingredient.
