Cant enter vault city

[Cant Stand]

I completed the mission with gecko by repairing the power plant and talked to th first citizen. I'm supposed to be a citizen but when I try to enter the vault it says only citizens are allowed. And now when I talk to the first citizen she calls me a non citizen. Did I do something wrong?

She wanted it destroyed not repaired.
Just tell her you took care of it...not that you fixed it.
Or talk to guy in the other room and he will grant you citizenship for solving the quest.

His name is McClure...he is in the same building .

You have to be super nice to the first citizen in all speech options to get on her good side and get the perk.

Actually she wanted all the ghouls killed so that the plant would shut down. If you destroy the power plant by melting down the reactor, then there's even more radiation in the groundwater, and she'll be REALLY pissed.

I repaired the plant and I talked to the first citizen and kept it vauge. She said that I conducted myself like a vault citizen. My only option after that is "Thats good to hear, so" and than it exits the conversation. I dont get a perk or anything and I stil cant go into the vault. My reputation with vault city is antipathy.

Nevermind I'm able to enter the vault now

Yeah my bad.
She did mean kill the ghouls not destroy the reactor.

It's not really a perk but you can get Captain of the Guard if you do all the Vault City quests .
And you have get the speech tree with the First Citizen exactly right to get it.
When you get this perk you can bring Marcus in....take him to see the vault doctor. Pretty funny.

I completely forgot about that! 😅 Funny indeed. I almost never do the Captain of the Guard thing, mostly because I can't stand that ♥♥♥♥♥ Lynette.

I do it because then you're boss of Stark and you can tell him why you're the captain now, also making him amend Cassidy.

Yeah it's got great perks for sure, but between the high Charisma requirement and having to suck up to Lynette (which is out-of-character for most of my Chosen Ones) it just doesn't seem worth it most of the time
