The Terminal near the end of the Oil Rig isn't working?

In the room there's a terminal where i've seen people use to activate the turrets agasint Horrigan, but whenever I try to it, it doesn't work?

I have a Science skill of 116 and the Presidental Keycard, shouldn't this be working?

What do you mean by "end" of the oil rig? You're using the terminal in the entry room, the same room where Horrigan and the turrets are, right?

With the keycard and that much skill, yeah you should be able to just use the terminal and select the appropriate dialogue options.

Yes, sorry, I meant the entry point.

I know, but it just isn't working. It displays one of the generic messages when you fail to use it.

Yes, sorry, I meant the entry point.

I know, but it just isn't working. It displays one of the generic messages when you fail to use it.

Are you using the science skill on it, or the generic "hand" icon? Try both. If it won't work, it might be a glitch. Are you using either Killap's Restoration Project or Killap's Unofficial Patch? Or just the un-modified base game?

I've tried both, I haven't ever used any of the Restoration Projects, so I just play vanilla, although i've heard of them. Give me a link and I'll try it out.

I've tried both, I haven't ever used any of the Restoration Projects, so I just play vanilla, although i've heard of them. Give me a link and I'll try it out.

The vanilla game is fraught with bugs, unfortunately. You can find both the patch and the Restoration Project on Killap's website, under the "downloads" section. Download the Unofficial Patch or the Restoration Project, not both (I recommend the Restoration Project).

Unfortunately you can't safely install them on a playthrough that's in progress. This means you'll have to deal with the turrets on your current playthrough with no patch. Sorry...

Oh, hey! What's your character's Intelligence score? Apparently you need 6 Intelligence to interact with the computer at all. If you have less than that, try popping some Mentats.

EDIT: Did you use the computer earlier and try the restricted operations without the Presidential Access Card? Because that can cause a permanent lockout from the computer.

No, I didn't interact with any other computers beforehand, I need to go to sleep but in the morning I'll see if I have 6 intelligence.

If you didn’t try to use the terminal before you had the keycard then you don’t get the option to do so later when you have the keycard
