A little advice for Fallout 1 Player

I played Fallout 1 a lot. I know all the basics and even the most efficent way to beat the game.

But I'm very new to its sequel, which is Fallout 2. I decided to give it a shot, since Fallout 1 really doesn't have much replay value because the game is short.

Is there any major differences between two games?

You can also sacrifice your spouse by extracting their brain in the Sierra army depot as well. Works on other companions too.

The force fields at Sierra Army Depot don't hurt you. The shock plates, on the other hand...

In Fallout 2 Charisma now affect directly how many companions you can have, not much else, speech skill is the king when talking to npcs, if you're long wolf you can lower it to 1 (2 with gifted trait) and not bother to have anyone with you.

You can get as many companions as half of your charisma points, always rounded down. example: you have 5 CH you can have 2 NPC with you.

That isn't correct. There is quite a few checks that is based on your charisma and not your speech level. If you want to be a porn star for example you need 9 Charisma, 9 Endurance and 9 Agility.

if I remember correctly, there only are red force fields in the SAD if you cut the power before entering the depot. If you don't, you will only find yellow force fields.

...ohhh I completely forgot that was a thing. To me, it's not worth it to go through the shock plates to shut off the power, when I can navigate the base just fine with the power on.

That's not quite true. You need 8 Agility, 8 Endurance and a sex rating of 9 to become a porn star. Sex rating = (CH * 50 + EN * 25 + AG * 13 + ST * 12) / 100
+ 2 if you have Kama Sutra Master
+ 1 if you have Sex Appeal
+ 2 if you are a "Sex God" (hidden in-game)

"Sex God" is basically sex experience. Each time you have sex your sex level increases based upon your sex rating. Once your sex level reaches 100 you are considered a "Sex God", but this is not shown in-game.

So you can become a porn star with 1 charisma if you have roughly 10 in Strength, Agility, Endurance and you are a "Sex God" with Kama Sutra Master.
