Fallout 2

Killap's Unofficial Fallout 2 Patch & Restoration Project
I couldn't find any guide (text or video) telling me where to install the mods so I just installed them into the steam Fallout 2 folder. Wish me luck. This forum is insanely slow I figured I'd just do it and see if anyone replies as well as posting if doing that caused problems for me.

Fallout folder is the right folder, but you only need Restoration exe because it includes the patch.

Oh okay, thanks! I'm guessing more than just the exe is in there because I did installed it through the exe, if that makes sense. Like it took a long time to install. Unfortunately i'm not the most techn savvy person when it comes to this stuff, even though I consider myself a modern person.

There is more, it seems you did just right.

Thanks for the help! Now I just have to try and channel some patience to continue the game because I rage quit earlier when I started a new character after installing those two mods/fixes. My created character was horrible compared to one of the pre-made characters (the melee warrior guy, I forgot his name). He couldn't even survive the trial. I've been pretty determined in other games and have shown a lot of patience with other Fallout games but something affected my patience today.

In the starting dungeon you can kite mobs and talk you out of the dungeon, meaning you wont lose a single HP, if you play it cautiously and have enough agility and charisma.

You can find typical killer builds from https://fallout.gamepedia.com/The_Nearly_Ultimate_Fallout_2_Guide#Suggested_characters

Those make the game easy.

Fallout 2 is kind of old school game, tossing on your face a "hard start" as opposite to next gen games which hold your hand like you would be a kid and the game your momma.

Anyway, good luck with your game and have fun! It is among the best RPGs of all times.

Thanks for the tips! Sorry for the late replay. I'll take a look at the link tomorrow and gave the game another shot :P. I really want to finish Fallout 2 as I've played Fallout 1, 3 & New Vegas so I feel like I have to do Fallout 2. I know there are references to events of fallout 2 in fallout new vegas and I want to finally fully undersand the references. Overall I hear it's a really good game so i'll definitely try again torrmow. Thanks again :).

I wish you good luck! I am kind of in the same boat, have finished Fallout 1 but not 2, which is not tolerated.
