Try this? http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=185013062

Or any of this? http://steamcommunity.com/app/38410/discussions/0/1843493219419810090/

I had problems in Win10, but it was fixed, see above threads.

Hello :) and good choice on fallout!
You have 2 options if you go to the directory you will find 2 launchers 1 is fallout2hr and the other is fallout2 right click fallout2hr and set compatibility TO WINDOWS 98
Then exit out and use the desktop shortcut to launch.

Option 2 is delet desktop shortcut, then navigate to the fallout2 directory and find fallout2 launcher (not fallout2hr)right click - send to desktop(shortcut)
It should launch in low rez original mode

I used the first option as you can play in high rez

Won't compatibility mode interfere with SFALL 3.2a? It did for me:

Observations:
Fallout2.exe: Prefers not to have "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".
Falout2HR.exe: Prevers to *have* "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".
Most compatibility settings resulted in error, failure to launch, see quote below.

Snippet from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 2\FAQ.txt
============================================================
Fallout refuses to run, displaying the message 'Fallout appears to be running in compatibility mode
============================================================
sfall doesn't play nicely with any compatibility mode settings, so it refuses to run with them turned on. Turn them all off. Do this by right clicking fallout2.exe, switching to the compatibility tab and unchecking everything. If options are greyed out, you need to click the change settings for all users button to access them. (Note that run as administrator is excluded from this check.)

Verified, this is how I was playing, until I fixed an anti-viurs quarantine for "Fallout2Launcher.exe", which is the launcher used by Steam's client. I just had to verify game cache via Steam to replace file.
