Vault 13 ending
Why on Earth did I get blamed for the Deathclaws being murdered in Vault 13 in the ending!? I was nice to them and FEV'd the Enclave, even let Goris kill the President and get the killing blow on Frank!

Using the restoration patch btw.

It's bugged. Dunno if the patch fixes it.

Restoration mod should change the ending for vault 13, but you need to kill Dr. Schreber before he send his report and free Xarn who will then rush to vault 13 to warn them, though you never see him again.
As soon as you touch G.E.C.K a hidden timer (2 weeks) starts before Frank Horrigan appear with his death squad in the vault and kill them all, if you run out of time you cannot save them.

Yeah, the endings in this game are a bit unfinished. Like for example take the VC ending and Gecko ending, where you can save VC's power shortage and make an unfriendly alliance with the ghouls in Gecko. You'd think the ending for VC would be that the power shortage gets fixed with the optimization, but actually that ending appears in the Gecko ending slide instead of being in the VC one too. So you actually get the ending where when Westin is dead and the Raiders are taken care of, the VC due to their isolationism finally caves in and get annexed by NCR!! Totally contradicts the Gecko one where VC is saved.
For me it feels like the Enclave oil rig part and ending slides where rushed and left mostly unfinished.

Have you talked to a captured vault 13 dweller on the rig? If you do, and then set prisoners free by shutting power down on the lower level, you get the ending that says that people from vault 13 joined your tribe members in creating a new community, although there's no mention of what happened to deathclaws.

I know the Vault 13 ending is buggy and that you can 'save' them by murdering the Navaro base within a time limit, what I didn't get is that Perlman blamed *me* for it, like I'd used my 10 luck sniper quick shot fast shot pulse rifle weilding death machine to slaughter the vault when in reality I was like omg Deathclaws cuuuute.

Slightly off topic but isn't it about time Bethesda gave us some REAL Deathclaw/Mutant NPCs? Strong and Uncle were.... cute... but they're no Marcus.

The Mother without Eggs in 4 doesn't count!

Funnily enough I never spoken to any vaulties on the Oil Rig but got the Aroyo ending with the vault dwellers joining us.

Nope, it's in the base game.

Huh, maybe something else triggers this ending then. For some reason i didn't got blamed for deathclaws demise on my last playthrough, despite wasting more than enough time since i found GECK for Enclave to wipe them out. And since i usually get Arroyo ending in which vault 13 people are not mentioned, i thought that there was a connection.

Maybe it has something to do with releasing the FEV onto the rig? I did that. Maybe because all of the Enclave affiliated vault dwellers died and only the Chosen Juan, Aroyo and anti Enclave vault dwellers survived the FEV being unleashed the imprisoned vault dwellers had nowhere else to go and teamed up with the Aroyo people.
I always kill Schrieber before taking Geck from vault 13, this saves whole vault 13 in restoration project ending. I got bad broken hills ending this time, I wonder if I got bug too.

I know about it, I got the ending where mutants and people starts fighting and blow up the uranium mine before leaving town. Strange.

Yeah the endings are mega buggy, sad that it was so awkward to patch games back then. Kilapp's stuff fixes 90% of the bugs but I don't think it's possible at all for all the bugs to be fixed.

I got this ending, too, and it kinda ruined it all for me because it was so extreme and claimed I proved genocide was a solution. Like not only am I blamed for their deaths but I am a Nazi, too? The deathclaw society was one of my favorites and I traveled with Goris until the end. I feel your pain.
