Fallout 2 black screen at start.

Fallout 2 black screen at start. I hear sound but see nothing. I have win 10 x64. Any ideas? ))

I did what the first post said, mess ith the two files in your fallout 2 directory called ; F2_Res_Config and Fallout2HR. Running windowed mode and then going into these files and playing with the settings has worked for me now i run fullscreen at 1280 X?? i forget. Of course, this is with the Restoration project instialled, lol.

I selected Windowed mode, left it in Direct X9, and have the hi-res patch applied, and it worked! I got in, I can see now, and after the opening cinematic, I get to the main menu. I can see my mouse cursor, but when I hover over the options, I can't do anything.

EDIT: Nevermind. Figured it out. Just using the keys ('n' for New Game, etc.) works. Mouse also works after I restarted game.

*Uses Necronomicon* For anyone else, if you hit escape a few times and get to the main menu it works, if you want to see the intro that was all black before, just click the button and it works
