How to minimize?

With all other games, I am able ot minimize to a tab and mess with the internet in the background, but Fallout 1 and 2 give me issues. With 1, I can at least see a small window in the bottom of my screen that will reopen the game if I double click, but I can't find Fallout 2 anywhere. I've tried alt-tab but it does the same thing. When I try to reopen the game (I thought it might have closed it) it says that it is already running.

Just alt tab again back to the game window or switch to in the task manager.

If you go to your fallout (and fallout 2) folder in steam there is a screen resolution setting tool. It has an option to use windowed mode.
